Thank you for choosing Bubbles & Biscuits. Our aim is to provide every dog with a calm, safe and enjoyable grooming experience. As a low-volume boutique salon, we take the time to get to know every dog and tailor each appointment to their individual needs. 

Please read the following agreement carefully. By progressing with your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions.  

Our Promise 
At Bubbles & Biscuits, your dog's welfare will always come first.  Every dog is treated with kindness, patience and respect, and every groom is tailored to their age, health, coat condition and temperament. We never rush a groom, and if at any stage we believe continuing would compromise your dog's comfort or wellbeing, we may modify or stop the groom.  

Your Responsibility 
To help us provide the safest possible care, you agree to provide accurate information about your dog, including any: 
Medical conditions  
Allergies or sensitivities  
Medications  
Injuries or recent surgery  
Behavioural concerns  
History of biting or aggression  
Veterinary restrictions  
Changes to your dog's health since their previous appointment  

Dogs that are unwell, showing signs of a contagious illness, or suffering from vomiting, diarrhoea, persistent coughing or infectious skin conditions must not attend their appointment.  

Vaccinations & Parasite Control 
For the health and safety of all dogs visiting the salon, your dog should be appropriately vaccinated (or have veterinary advice specific to their circumstances) and be maintained on a regular flea and worm prevention program. I am currently unable to accept dogs with fleas. If fleas are found during your appointment, the groom will be postponed until your dog has been treated and the full booking fee will need to be paid.

Coat Care & Matting 
Regular brushing and routine grooming are essential for maintaining a healthy coat and preventing painful matting. Where matting is minor, we will remove small areas where it can be done safely and comfortably. If your dog's coat is severely matted, clipping the coat short is usually the safest and kindest option. We will never perform excessive de-matting if it is likely to cause unnecessary pain, stress or injury. Removing a heavily matted coat may reveal existing skin irritation, sores, parasites, infections or other conditions that were previously hidden beneath the coat. Temporary changes to coat texture or colour can also occur after clipping. Additional charges may apply where significant extra time is required due to coat condition.  

Grooming Style 
We will always do our best to achieve your preferred grooming style. However, your dog's comfort, welfare and coat condition will always take priority over appearance. If your requested style is not suitable due to matting, coat quality or your dog's tolerance, we will recommend the most appropriate alternative.  

Behaviour & Safety 
Every dog responds differently to grooming. If your dog becomes excessively anxious, distressed, aggressive or unsafe to continue, we may modify or discontinue the groom. Where appropriate, we may recommend shorter or more frequent appointments to help your dog develop confidence with grooming. Additional handling or significantly longer appointments may incur additional charges.  

Puppies & Senior Dogs 
Puppies, senior dogs and dogs with medical conditions often require a slower, gentler approach. Their appointments may be modified or shortened to ensure they remain comfortable throughout the grooming process.  

Nail Trimming 
While every care is taken when trimming nails, occasionally a nail may bleed due to nail length, dark nails or unexpected movement. Should this occur, appropriate first aid will be applied immediately.  

Grooming Risks 
Although every reasonable precaution is taken, grooming involves the use of sharp equipment around live animals. Minor nicks, clipper irritation or small abrasions can occasionally occur, particularly on dogs that are matted, elderly, have thin or sensitive skin, or move unexpectedly during grooming. Should an accident occur, you will be notified and appropriate care will be provided immediately.  

Appointments 
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible. Significant delays may require your appointment to be shortened or rescheduled so we do not impact other clients. 
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments will incur a $50 cancellation fee.  

Payment 
Payment is required on the day of your appointment. Payment is via bank transfer or cash. Additional charges may apply where your dog's coat, behaviour or grooming requirements require significantly more time than originally booked. Wherever possible, these charges will be discussed with you before proceeding.  

Emergency Veterinary Care 
If your dog becomes unwell or is injured while in our care, we will make every reasonable attempt to contact you immediately. If urgent veterinary treatment is required and we are unable to reach you, you authorise Bubbles & Biscuits to seek veterinary treatment in your dog's best interests. Any veterinary costs incurred remain the responsibility of the owner.  

Photography 
We love sharing our beautiful clients. Photos may be taken before or after your dog's groom and used on our website, social media or marketing material unless you advise us otherwise.  

Satisfaction 
We genuinely want you to love your dog's groom. If you have any concerns, please let us know within 48 hours of your appointment. We will always do our best to discuss your concerns and, where appropriate, arrange a complimentary adjustment.  

Privacy 
Your personal information is collected solely for the purpose of caring for your dog, managing appointments and communicating with you. Your information will always remain confidential and will never be sold or shared with third parties except where required by law.
